The Stirling Sports store in Cambridge was ram raided early on Friday morning.

Store employee Sarah Nicholl said there was “very extensive damage to the front door”.

The store was still cleaning up after the damage by midday and Nicholl said they were looking into preventive options to stop a repeat.

She said clothing items were stolen but not a huge amount.

Senior Sergeant Peter Simpson told the Waikato Times that two offenders reversed the vehicle into the building. The police were investigating but had yet to find the pair.

The  raid comes after a Stirling Sports store was ram raided in Te Awamutu last month.
