Dio duo secure NZ junior trial

Waikato Diocesan’s Anahera Nin and Madison Dunn have beaten more than 200 girls to secure spots to trial for the New Zealand junior rowing team.

Waikato Dio rowers Anahera Nin and Madison Dunn have beaten more than  200 girls to secure two of the 21 trial spots for the New Zealand junior rowing team.

Anahera was visiting Madison when they were told of their success.

The two friends  won gold in the U18 coxed four. By winning this race they also won the Dawn Cup – a  first for Dio.

The pair also went on to win bronze in Saturday’s  U18 coxed eight.
