Shane said he was a bit slow.

“Job’s probably all right.”

Although they were competing against each other, Shane says he was proud of his son’s efforts in the competition.

“It’s good to see him out there doing it, I think he would have done a good job too, might even have a better job than me.”

Shane said: “It’ll all come out when the judges judge it and we’ll see what happens.”

Shane said his son has been fencing for a little while and is pretty good at it.

“He’s been contract fencing for eight years.”

As for Tony, he said that his fence was: “Good enough I think.”

“Pretty proud of the job.”

Tony said he enjoys competing againat his father, “It’s good, eh. I try to beat him.”

Tony has been fencing with his father since he was 13 years old.

“He taught me everything I know to do with fencing. “

While his father taught him all the tricks, he says he’s got some of his own now.

“Yeah I’ve picked up my own little things, keep him on his toes.”
