A mobile pizza company has taken out Best Food Vendor Site at Mystery Creek’s Fieldays for the second time.

The company, Mizzoni, was established in 2009, and is owned by childhood friends John Moughan and Ryan Burke.

Moughan said they were “very proud” to have received this award.

It is their fifth time attending Fieldays, but the first time they have brought their 20 foot shipping container along to accompany one of their two trailers.

Having two sites at the national agricultural event allowed them to manage their staff, and give the attendants access to their service at different areas of the event.

The classic pizza is their best seller, made with the toppings of pepperoni, mushroom, oregano and mozzarella.

Friday has been their busiest day so far.

“Traditionally Fridays are the busiest,” Moughan said.

Mizzoni is based in Hamilton but also travels to Auckland and Bay of Plenty.

The company, who were winners of the same award in 2012, won a trophy, certificate, and a hamper filled with chocolate, crackers, cheese and wine.

Moughan said in the next few months they hope to have a pizza bar open in Hamilton.

“We’re currently negotiating a lease on a shop,” he said.
