Honda Motorcycles won the award for best Large Agribusiness site.

Honda events manager Paul Stewart said the things that catches people’s attention are noise and movement, which is exactly what they provide.

Their site has an interactive component with a Honda MUV driving around their track.

Stewart believes their site is successful because it is practical, functional and lasts four days.

Stewart and his Honda team tried to set out their gear so it was easy for their customers to use.

“We like people to be able to interact with the gear and not be jammed too close together,” said Stewart.

The Honda team tried to stick to the Fieldays theme of ‘Getting down to business in the global economy’, having a giant globe at the front of their tent.

“We decided to go with ‘Honda working with New Zealand to get down to business in the global economy,” said Stewart.

“We kind of cheated, I guess, by just adding our wording.”

This is the fifth time Honda NZ has won the award; the first time was in 2004.

Stewart said he is very pleased to have won the award again.

“Even though I’m steering the ship, it’s a team effort.”
