Morrinsville welcomes alternative Halloween party for another year

With plenty of volunteers the 2012 Morrinsville Light Party is set to be a fun night for the whole family.

The Morrinsville Light Party will make a return this year as a positive alternative to Halloween for children aged 5-15.

The event, hosted by local churches  is set to be a night of fun for the whole family.

With prizes for best original homemade costumes, secretary and treasurer Wilson Orange said it is a real pleasure to have this event back at Knox Church.

“We seem to have plenty of volunteers this year and the businesses have been really supportive,” Wilson said.

“Now we just have to hope for good weather.”

The party commences from 6pm and runs until 8pm on October 31. Activities at the 2012 Light Party include games, bouncy castles, mini-golf and face-painting.

Wilson says a gold coin donation is appreciated, especially with all the prizes and fun to be had.
