Gallagher team member Arno Van Niekerk issued the challenge.

“They should try and come take [the cup] from us, but we are prepared.”

“Come at us bro,” he said.

This year’s event will be held at Innes Common, Hamilton Lake on Sunday October 28.

Team member Sherilyn Tasker said that it was an excuse to get dressed up.

“Even if we aren’t fast we will look good doing it,” she said.

“We all seem to know someone who is affected by breast cancer, even staff here.”

Also being held on the day are the Pink Walk and Pink Challenge.

The Pink Walk is a 3.5km fun walk around the lake.

Pink Challenge is a surveyed 5km run around the lake and surrounding streets, with medals for first, second and third.

Face painting and a bouncy castle will keep the kids busy.

Everyone is encouraged to dress in pink and spot prizes for best dressed will be given out.

Registrations are open here and all funds go to the Waikato breast cancer trust.

One Waikato woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every working day.
