Fonterra has built a giant fridge this year as a way of thanking their exhibitors.

The Fonterra site has been involved in Fieldays since the beginning, but it is the first time for Fonterra event specialist Caroline Ocego.

She says the fridge has given an element of interaction for their rural audience and helps with the image of the site.

“Everyone is having fun,” Ocego says.

Visitors line up eager to get a photograph in the fridge. Audiences can stand in the fridge holding oversize Fonterra products while their photograph is taken and turned into a magnet.

The large outdoor site also offers free taste testers of Fonterra products such as butter, milk and yoghurt.

Fonterra celebrated their 10th birthday in October.
