Chris and Gen Bousfield have owned Oringi for the past five years and say their customer base has expanded over this time.

The Bousfields say they import their rainwear clothing from Belgium – which is designed to meet the requirements of all environments.

“The rainwear clothing is really high quality – perfect for farming conditions.”

The business also sells New Zealand-made clothing, all at very competitive prices.

Located in the pavilion, Mr Bousfield says Fieldays is always their biggest week of the year.

“Our main customers are farming orientated and so our clothing is designed to fit the farming need.”

Because the company is website operated, Fieldays is a great opportunity to meet many of their customers.

“The throughput of people during Fieldays is huge. We are a small company and so we pride ourselves on customer satisfaction.”

Oringi aims to expand their business and are always looking for new products and feedback from their customers.

The company is so confident of their products they allow customers to trial their clothes for 30 days before deciding if they want to buy.

Bousfield says they now have a tramping coat and new design riding jacket – both of which are proving hugely popular.

Farmer Jenny Post was very interested in the rainwear clothing.

“All the clothing looks great and the price is reasonable as well. The service has been outstanding.”
